During winter months it’s normal for firewood to arrive with surface moisture from rain, snow, or freezing weather during transport and handling. Surface moisture on wood delivered does not necessarily mean the wood itself is unseasoned or will not burn. For best results, we always recommend stacking firewood with proper airflow and bringing a small amount indoors ahead of use so the wood burns optimally during the winter months.
